Hacktivism is a form of online protest which often aligns cyber attacks with activist campaigns, under an advertised effect of social progress or change. Hacktivism has existed in various forms since the 1990s, gaining popularity through online message boards, e-zines, and social media.
Senior Analyst Ian Gray recently sat down to discuss the current Hacktivist Threat Landscape; providing an overview of hacktivist operations, commonly observed social and technical hacktivist TTPs, and actions we can take to understand and limit the potential risks posed from these campaigns.
